Dr. Harold Pierre graduated from the University of Maryland at College Park with a degree in Electrical Engineering. After graduating with a BSEE, he worked as an electrical engineer for 3 three years before matriculating at Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. From there he finished an internship in Internal Medicine at University of Maryland Medical Systems in Baltimore and then completed an anesthesiology residency at the Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Harold Pierre joined two residency colleagues in private practice in Tulsa, OK. He was quickly assigned the position of director of Obstetrics Anesthesiology. He introduced several new clinical techniques to advance the services, which experienced a 20% in volume in his 2 years there. From his experiences there, he was hired at SouthCrest Hospital as the director of anesthesiology to revamp the anesthesiology department. During his 5 years as director, the hospital a 75% increase in obstetric cases, a 30% increase in surgery cases, and the anesthesiology department earned a 95% Physician Satisfaction rate on the HealthStream Survey.
